MAY 2, 2020 GENERAL ELECTION

Lakeway Municipal Utility District (“LMUD”) is governed by a Board consisting of five directors elected from the District at large. LMUD will be conducting a General Election on May 2, 2020 for three director positions. The persons elected to these positions have terms ending in May of 2024.

NOTICE OF DEADLINE TO FILE APPLICATIONS FOR PLACE ON THE BALLOT

Notice is hereby given that applications for a place on the LMUD Regular Election ballot may be filed during the following time:

Director Qualifications:

To be qualified to serve as a Director, a person shall be at least 18 years old, a resident citizen of the State of Texas, and either own land subject to taxation in the District or be a qualified voter within the District. (Tex. Water Code Sec. 54.102)

Ballot Application and Petition:

A person wanting to have their name on the ballot must submit an application for a place on the ballot to LMUD at the address listed above before the end of the filing period. An Application for a Place on the Ballot can be downloaded from the Texas Secretary of State’s website at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/pol-sub/2-21f.pdf.
