Celebrating the Red, White, And Blue with a 1st Place Win

4th of July parades across the nation represent an opportunity for communities to come together in celebration of the birth of our nation. Each year, the City of Lakeway 4th of July parade celebrates America’s independence and the City’s rich heritage. “The parade is a testament to the community’s spirit, unity, and patriotism, and it serves as a reminder of the values that make Lakeway a great place to live and visit,” according to the City of Lakeway website.

Lakeway MUD participates in the Lakeway 4th of July parade each year because we are a part of the community, providing invaluable services in clean drinking water and wastewater management. We’re honored to walk away with another first-place win in the By Land or By Sea Award category this year! A shoutout to our wastewater department team for their creativity and hard work designing and building the Lakeway MUD float this year! Thank you to all of the parade participants, volunteers, and sponsors for making this another successful event!

The theme “Symbols of Freedom” aims to showcase the diverse array of images and ideas that come to mind when contemplating this cherished ideal. From the stars and stripes of the American flag to the soaring eagle, these symbols not only represent our nation’s history but also embody the values that are held dear.
