LMUD Wins a First Place at Lakeway’s 47th July Fourth Parade

Among the 65 floats that traveled up Lakeway Drive in the morning hours of July 4, 2022, surrounded by what has been touted as the “largest crowd ever” to date for this popular city event, we are humbled and honored to have received first place in the “By Land or By Sea Award” category. With it being our 50th anniversary year, the win is extra special! We’d like to recognize our water department team who built our float from scratch, perfectly embodying the parade’s theme: “Grand Old Flag.” This event is not just a fun activity for us as an organization – it’s the most visible activity we participate in. We enjoy showing our customers that we are a part of the community; that we care about this community. Thank you to the City of Lakeway for organizing the event, HEB for sponsorship, all of the volunteers that helped run it, all entrants for their creativity, and the attendees for their enthusiasm.
